Admissions

We hope that you will consider entrusting our school with the care and education of your child, whether they are starting out school for the first time in our part-time nursery, or moving to the area from another setting. We understand that choosing the right school is important, and one of the biggest decisions a parent will make.

Visits to our school are warmly encouraged before you make your decision, and we are always very happy to meet with prospective parents to discuss your child’s needs and your aspirations for them. First impressions count, and we hope that early in your visit, you will pick up on the ‘family feel’ which is at the heart of our school.

Applying for a School Place

If you decide you would like to apply for a place for your child at Haggonfields Primary School, please access Nottinghamshire County Council’s website – https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/apply-for-a-school-place

Right of Appeal

Under the terms of the School Admissions Code 2021, if you apply for and are refused at an SNMAT partner Academy you have the right to appeal.

Admission Appeals at all (Nottinghamshire) SNMAT academies are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council, who provide an independent appeals process. If you decide you wish to proceed with an appeal, you should within 20 school days of the date of the refusal letter complete the online form on Nottinghamshire County Council's website:

https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/appeal-a-school-admission-decision

For parents/carers who are unable to use the online form, a printed form can be requested from our customer contact centre - 0300 500 80 80

Appeals at SNMAT academies will be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2021, The School Admissions Appeals Code 2022 and Part 3 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.
