Children In Need Day
Next Friday, Haggonfields Primary School will be supporting Children In Need Day. As part of the wellbeing theme, we will be participating in the Five to Thrive activities. Five to Thrive is a unique programme of wellbeing activities throughout the week, led by Joe Wicks, Dr Radha and Blue Peter. Inspired by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, each day we will be taking part in activities designed to help children feel better about themselves – as well as helping others.
Joe Wicks will be taking part in a 24-hour PE challenge. Our school will join him for the final 20 minutes of his workout, from 9.05am on Friday via live-stream on the Children In Need YouTube channel.
Mrs Hancock, our office manager, has kindly donated 3 Pudsey bears for a Children In Need raffle. We will enter the names of all the children who are in school on Friday in to the raffle. The winners will be drawn during our online assembly.
To get in with the spirit of the day, we are asking the children to participate in a non-uniform day by wearing sports/PE kit to fit in with the well-being theme. Children may, of course, wear Pudsey themed clothes or accessories! We are asking for a donation of £1 to fundraise for the Children In Need appeal. Any donations will be collected in a plastic tub at the start of the day.
