• Goodbye and good luck to Mrs Hothersall!

  In our Celebration assembly today, we said ‘goodbye’ to Mrs Hothersall as she leaves the school to start her next adventure. Mrs Hothersall has worked here for over 21 years! In this time, she has taught brothers, sisters and even some of our parents! We presented Mrs Hothersall with cards and gifts to thank for her contribution to our school over the years. I’m sure you will join us in wishing her well as she starts a new chapter.

   

  We will be welcoming Miss Passaseo to our teaching team in September! She will be coming in to school after half term to meet the children and staff.

  

• The 25 Day Reading Challenge!

  We have launched our 25 Day Reading Challenge! The aim of the challenge is to encourage our children to read for pleasure. Starting today, there are 25 challenges for the children to complete…one per day. As each activity is completed, the date and book title needs to be filled in on the sheet.

   

  The final challenge will take place on Monday 14^th June and the sheet should be returned to school on Tuesday 15^th March. Any child who completes the whole challenge will be entered in to a prize draw. The draw will take place in our Friday assembly. The lucky winner from each class will receive a book! The class with the most entries will also get to choose some new books for their classroom.
