  • Smoothies and Daily Mile

    Thu 30 Sep 2021 Mrs S Henry

Today has been a day full of walking and Smoothie making to celebrate more of our Healthy Schools Week. The children have been completing a daily mile and have all seen the importance of completing a daily movement. At the end of the day the children became culinary chefs and created their own refreshing smoothies. With just a few simple ingredients they were able to create some refreshing and healthy drinks and all of them went down a treat. What a fabulous way to get children excited about eating fruit!

  • Healthy Schools Week!

    Wed 29 Sep 2021 Mrs S Henry

We have had a very busy week this week at Haggonfields Primary, focusing on anything and everything Healthy. Children have been looking at the importance of being Healthy, how this has a positive impact on our bodies and minds and in turn, helps us perform better within School.

The children have been taking part in a Daily Mile challenge, Food Tasting of different fruits, exploring relevant Food Groups and even had a go at making their own healthy smoothies. What a fun and healthy time we have had!

  • Haggonfields Play Leaders

    Thu 23 Sep 2021 Mrs S Henry

To give our oldest members of school a little authority, leadership and responsibility we have introduced Play Leaders at Breaks and Lunchtimes. We have noticed that the children lacked activities at these time and were unsure what to do and feel this way all children from all year groups can engage in an activity and have a responsible Year 6 pupil to turn to.

Each break there will be different stations for the Play Leaders to be in charge of be it Hoop Jumping, Football, colouring or Dancing with the Boom Box, there is something for everyone!

  • Recognising Children's Work

    Mon 20 Sep 2021 Mrs S Henry

Some of you who have popped into school may have noticed the difference along the corridor, looking brighter and cleaner. Whilst we have loved the fresh lick of paint we felt it was ready for some work to be displayed, so we not have 2 pieces from each class displayed along the corridor in frames. We have also included a selection of positive quotes throughout to help inspire the children, allowing them to believe in themselves. We are really pleased with the finished result and cannot wait for you all to come in and have a look!
