  • Macmillan Coffee Morning

    Wed 27 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

Apologies for the delayed report on our first Macmillan Coffee Morning in school on Friday 15th October however, it looks and sounds like it was a complete success. Huge thanks goes to the Parent Committee for organising and hosting the event and a particular thank you goes to Kay Creasey from the Committee for leading the morning.

All parents/carers were welcomed into school for the morning, offering a wide selection of drinks and cakes galore. We also had a huge selection of raffle prizes on offer, well done to anyone who won and thank you to everyone who donated.

Our grand total towards Macmillan came to an incredible £237.38! Thank you everyone for your kindness and generosity on the day. I look forward to the next one.

  • New Mural in School!

    Sat 23 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

When I heard that my friend Jen Elson had followed her Artistic dream 🎨🖌 I just knew I had to get her into school to paint! The brief was a little challenging however, I feel she has outdone herself and produced, in just three days, an incredible piece of Art on the wall at Haggonfields for our children and staff to enjoy ❤🙏 THANK YOU you Jen, I cannot wait to see the children and their reactions, it truly is all for them 😍 #teamhaggonfields

  • Whole School Meal

    Thu 14 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

At Haggonfields we are keen to create and instill a family feel with children and staff. To that end we have introduced Whole School Meals, where all staff in school come together with the children to enjoy our dinner. Today we had our first meal together and it was truly wonderful to sit with the children and enjoy our roast dinner and packed lunches. The children loved having us on their tables and it was great to chat with the children outside of the classrooms. We cannot wait for the next one next term!

  • Haggonfields Boys First Football Match

    Thu 14 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

Today the boys had their first opportunity playing against another school in a football match. Haggonfields played against St John's Primary School away and did the school proud, not only in terms of behaviour but skill too. Two goals in total so a fantastic start, here's to the next match!

  • Bring an Adult to School Day - Entrepreneurs

    Wed 13 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

Our Entrepreneurs finally had the pleasure of bringing their nearest and dearest into school to showcase some of their learning in class. The children started the morning off mummifying tomatoes in salt and then finished the session off with some Egyptian Art. There was a fantastic turnout, a huge thank you to all of our Parents and Carers for taking the time out of their day.

  • Positive Reviews

    Wed 13 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

It is extremely touching to have such positive feedback from you all and even more so from outside providers. As you will know it has been a team effort to make the necessary changes for Haggonfields Primary school to improve, to be thee school children want to attend!

Last night after our first whole school Disco I received these two incredible reviews, one from Vicky - Morrisons Community Champion and the other from Crystal - Our DJ for the night. It is messages like these that honestly make me beam with pride, not only can we see the changes happening, but others can too!

  • World Vegan Day!

    Tue 12 Oct 2021 Mrs S Henry

On Monday 1st November, our first day back after Half Term, we will be celebrating World Vegan at Haggonfields Primary School. Being a passionate Vegan for 6 years I turned Vegan mainly for health reasons and also looking at food differently. On this day we shall be making a pledge as a school to be Vegan for a day and are therefore asking all parents to join us in helping make this happen. If packed lunches could focus on animal free products, our school lunch will be Pizza and Cornflake Tart with Custard Yum! I cannot wait for us all to take the pledge and see how many lives we manage to save by the end of the day. Thank you to all parents in helping with this event in advance.
